Free Fire Pakistan League I

FFPL I, since its announcement, got mobile gamers from across the country super excited as, for the first time, Garena announced an offline tournament in Pakistan. Free Fire squads who had been grinding since FFCS couldn’t wait to show off their skills in the national-level tournament. As expected, registrations poured in from all the provinces and totalled a massive 2000+ registrations. All the squads were ready and thrilled to compete for the title of Champions and a prize pool of approximately 24 LACS PKR.

There was intense competition in the group stages, where we saw new teams surfacing with great talent and skillsets, ready to make a name for themselves. The top 12 teams made it to the playoffs to compete in the Grand Final.

NGES was in charge of ensuring that everything, from all the major operations to the smallest of tasks, was executed smoothly. Executing qualifiers in each city, DVCs, photoshoots for players, managing their travel, accommodation, and other league operations. The Grand Final took place in the City of Lights, Karachi, on 30th January.

NGES made all the necessary arrangements for the tournament, including the sourcing and logistics of all the gaming equipment and internet, conducting matches and all the primary league operations.
Catering an audience this big while managing all the broadcast operations and players was not easy, but NGES, with its sheer determination, made it seem so.

Conclusion

Team TG won the first edition of FFPL and bagged prize money of 12 LACS PKR, securing their spot in Free Fire World Series.

This was a breakthrough for Garena Free Fire as they hosted the first offline tournament in Pakistan, and NGES was right behind to make sure that the foundation for this flagship series was strong and there to stay for the Esports ecosystem in Pakistan.

Free Fire Tri Series

Post-FFPL II, Garena Free Fire organised the Free Fire Tri-Series, a regional tournament in the which top 6 teams from the Pro Leagues of Pakistan, India and Bangladesh took part. Free Fire Tri Series prize pool was set for 50,000 USD. This was the first-ever regional tournament that Pakistani Esports teams became a part of, making it a breakthrough for Free Fire Esports Pakistan.

NGES accommodated all the qualified teams at a Bootcamp to practice and participate in the Online Tournament. NGES was in charge of the broadcast of the event in Pakistan on Youtube and other social channels with Urdu Casters Sallu and Dowdy, who hold massive popularity in the Pakistani Free Fire fan base.

Indian Team Sixth Sense won the Free Fire Tri Series 2021 with their phenomenal performance and took home a cash prize of 22 thousand USD.

Free Fire World Series January 2021

The winners of the Free Fire pro leagues from each country (FFPL in Pakistan’s case) qualify for Free Fire World Series, the highest-level Esports tournament organized by Garena Free Fire which takes place biannually. The International Esports tournament had a prize pool of 2 million USD.
Team TG qualified for the World Series but couldn’t attend the mega event due to COVID restrictions. Irrespective of that, 40,000 USD was given to Team TG as a reward for earning a spot in the international tournament. FFWS was broadcasted by NGES in Pakistan with Urdu casting by Sallu and Dowdy for the Pakistani audience.
