Takedown 2026, organized by Baaz at Packages Mall Lahore, brought together some of the biggest names in Pakistan’s competitive gaming scene for three days of intense competition across Tekken 8, EA Sports FC 26, Street Fighter 6 and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
With more than 1,200 players participating across all four games, Takedown 2026 became one of the biggest esports events of its kind in Pakistan. Tekken 8 alone featured more than 650 players, including some of the biggest names in the scene.
The event also featured seven international players, including two time EWC champion Ulsan from South Korea. Pakistan’s own recent EWC champion Muhammad Zubair also joined the competition alongside names such as eight time EVO champion Arslan Ash, Aatif, Arfrozeen, Osama Abbasi and many more.
The Tekken 8 competition eventually came down to Rangchu and Farzeen in the Grand Final. In front of a packed crowd at Packages Mall Lahore, Rangchu secured the championship after travelling to Pakistan for the tournament
Behind the scenes, Next Generation Esports played a major role in bringing the event to life. NGES handled the league operations and end to end broadcast across both Stream A and Stream B. Stream A was hosted on Baaz’s YouTube channel, while Stream B was broadcast through the Next Generation Esports YouTube channel.
From the opening scenes to the final moments, the NGES team worked across three days to keep the competition and broadcast running smoothly.
Takedown 2026 also marked the third Takedown edition managed by Next Generation Esports, making it another important milestone for the team.
