The Free Fire Battle of Cities 2025 was a special esports event where teams from six major cities of Pakistan competed to become the national champion. The tournament was organized by Garena and Next Generation Esports (NGES), with strong support from Telenor. The total prize pool for the tournament was ₨ 700,000 PKR, and the event was played in Squads mode.
Registrations took place from May 25th to 29th, and the tournament featured players from Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and Multan. The Open Qualifiers were held online from June 1st to 9th, where the top 12 teams from each city moved on to the next round.
The Regional Qualifiers took place from June 13th to 22nd. What made this stage special was that each city hosted its offline matches at Telenor offices, giving players a real competitive experience. All these offline rounds were managed professionally by Next Generation Esports (NGES). Each city played 5 matches, and the best-performing teams qualified for the Grand Final.
From the regional stage, 3 teams each from Lahore and Islamabad, 2 teams each from Karachi and Peshawar, and 1 team each from Faisalabad and Multan made it to the Grand Final, held on June 29th, 2025. The Grand Final followed the exciting Champion Rush format and featured a total of 12 teams.
The event received huge attention online, with the Grand Final watched by around 150,000 viewers across platforms. After intense competition, RZX Esports were crowned the champions, once again proving their strength in the Free Fire scene.
